As mentioned yesterday, the lovely people at lucy Activewear sent us some fabulous new workout clothes to test out! Read on for part deux of our review. To read part one, click here!
Propel Run Tight
Here’s the thing, when I head out for a run I usually go the safe route and opt for clothing that is a little bit more slouchy (or flowy as Jen says) and doesn’t exactly show off my “assets.” But the Propel Run Tights changed my idea of what a running pant should be and after taking these pants for a spin, I’ve realized that though they might have a snug fit, they were surprisingly comfortable and flattering. I have to admit that at first I was a little nervous to wear the pants out, but when my roommate told me they were very “slimming” (a sure sign of a solid workout item) I was ready to show just about anyone. Not only are these pants visually attractive but the lucy tech™ fabric absorbs extra moisture or sweat and two panels on each leg add extra breathability. With the air getting crisper and darkness coming earlier, these pants are perfect for an evening run (equipped with reflectors on the backside of each pant leg) or an early morning walk. I love the added pink accents along the zippers and on the drawstring, but I must warn you there is a drawstring for a reason. While I was running, bopping away to my music, I barely noticed that I was showing a little more to my fellow park goers then they had bargained for. So be sure to tie that baby up tight before heading out. When tied up correctly, the pants wide waistband sits low and even has a little pocket so I can easily stow my house key. As with the other pants on the lucy website, these are true to size and while I was perfectly comfortable in the medium, a small would have been a better fit so stick to the size chart and you will be set.
RPM Tank
With so many workout tanks out there to choose from, finding the right one is always a challenge. What I liked most about the RPM Tank was its versatility. Made from lucy power™ fabric, this tank seemed to wick away sweat no matter what exercise I was doing running, Pilates, or spinning. This material is also super soft and fits to your body, making it extra flattering. What’s even more appealing about this top is the peek-a-boo detailing on the back and the V-neck cut, making this tank much more fashionable (not to mention the vibrant pink color) than your average workout top. I will say though, that if you are not interested in showing any tummy, you may want to opt for one of their longer tops, this one does have tendency to come up a bit when doing more high intensity exercises. That being said, this is the type of top you can buy guilt free because not only will it go with just about everything, it will also give you a fashionable boost and can be used for almost every workout.
